Florian Baudrexel

Born out of an interest in the Avant-Garde, architecture and the aesthetic of the Machine Age, Florian Baudrexel‘s works, made of recyclable everyday materials, embrace a carefully orchestrated sense of motion and direction. Rather than rely on tested formal composition, ‘Mitten’ evolved from an intuitive process, as element by element was added and altered to create a densely textured composition. Baudrexel has recently embraced the use of colour, both incidental and intentionally applied. ‘Mitten’ is constructed from virgin cardboard, subsequently monochromatically coloured using spray paints.
